Key Initiatives

Advocating for Publication Ethics:

  • We are dedicated to raising awareness of publication ethics and promoting integrity within the scholarly community. Through workshops, seminars, and online resources, we aim to educate stakeholders about ethical considerations in publishing.

Enhancing Reporting Standards:

  • We recognize the importance of transparent and comprehensive reporting in scholarly research. Our team actively contributes to efforts to improve reporting standards, ensuring that research findings are accurately and effectively communicated to the academic community.

Leadership in Professional Organizations:

Jason Roberts, PHD, Kristen Overstreet, and Erin Landis, key members of the Origin team, have held or are currently holding hold leadership positions in prominent scholarly publishing organizations such as the Council of Science Editors (CSE) and the International Society of Managing and Technical Editors (ISMTE).

 

In fact, Jason is the Founding President of ISMTE and Kristen is the Founding Editor of ISMTE’s publication, Editorial Office News (EON).

Contributions to Scholarly Publication Education and Training:

Invited Speakers:
  • Jason, Kristen, and Erin have been invited to share their expertise as speakers at various scholarly publishing conferences, such as CSE, ISMTE, EASE, COPE, and the EQUATOR Network. Their insights and experiences enrich training and education sessions and provide valuable guidance to professionals in the field.
